Ann and Ken have been dear friends of ours for a while. We had the pleasure of having them in attendance at our own wedding, so when we heard they were getting hitched, we were thrilled for them! Being out-of-towners who met through work in D.C., they wanted engagement pictures that paid tribute to the city that had brought them together.

So we set out, on a cold fall morning last November, to capture these lovebirds in action. First, we found the perfect, secluded spot where we have a unencumbered view of the majestic monuments and D.C. skyline from across the river. Then, we simply asked the couple to do as they pleased, and had a blast photographing their every move. Their amazing chemistry and humorous personalities made for tons of natural smiles. Not once did we have to ask them to "Say cheese!" We even handed them a camera, so they could have a little photoshoot within a photoshoot!

We had a genuinely wonderful time at this e-session, not only because we learned so much from the experience, but because we so enjoyed taking the time to spend a few hilarious hours in the company of our friends. Congratulations, Ken and Ann! We can't wait for the wedding!
